Gvr lies on the foothills of Genting and offers a good night's rest for concert goers.
Facilities were really old and poorly maintained

Great stay, as always. Nice accommodation with comfy setting really close to the bus station or the sky line, restaurants and shops, and the various highlights of Genting like the amusement park, the temple or the casino. Reasonably spacious and huge rooms with breathtaking views and safe, as for instance, great pool area...

The location of the hotel is excellent, very close to the ferry jetty and a beautiful square. Breakfast is decent with a good variety of choices. the hotel offers a beautiful view of the surrounding area.
The staff at check-in and check-out were not helpful. During checkout, we had to carry our own luggage to our car, and the trolley boy did not provide any assistance.

The location is not convenient and it takes 30 min drive to Genting Theme Park. Inadequate directional signages to the resort. Poor service and facilities. Wi-fi not available, supposed to have free wi-fi in the hotel lobby as mentioned on the web site!!

the room was quite big.. there was sofas and some kind of living room with tv.. the bathroom was clean, but there was no bath tub as i ordered before.. balcony with some kind of forest and mountain scenery.. provide a shuttle to skyway (cable car) to genting highland..
you can hear baby crying from the room next to you.. the building was quite old.. there was someone calling the phone in our room in the middle of the night saying hello, and hang up the phone.. (-__-") The shuttle only scheduled 3 times from the hotel and 3 times from the skyway.. from hotel to skyway at 9am, 12am, and 3 pm.. from skyway to hotel at 7pm 10pm, and i forgot the earlier pick up time.. outside that scheduled we must pay 25RM per shuttle..

The view from the windows
The lift! Whole family got trapped inside for almost twenty minutes as the lift door would not close until we shouted for help till a worker heard us. Terrible experience!!

It's value for money and breakfast is included too! The staff is friendly and helpful.
The location. The distance to the main attraction, Genting Highlands theme park, is quite far.

I had a pleasant surprise during my recent stay at Genting View Resort. Despite some initial reservations about the exterior, the beautiful room exceeded my expectations. It was well-appointed, spacious, clean, and nicely decorated. The bed was comfortable, the lighting sufficient, and the furniture tastefully chosen. I also appreciated the comfortable seating area in front of the TV and the beautiful valley view from the balcony. Other amenities like the in-room safe, security card door access, and refrigerator added to the convenience. Although there were a few setbacks like the lack of air conditioning, temperamental hot water, and ineffective ceiling fan, overall the room was excellent.

The rooms are okay, big and the bed are comfortable. I like the idea that there is security guarding every apartment n the whole place. But anyone can go into the place because the guard post from the main entrance didn't do any identification checking. Just moving the barrier up n down. At least the guard at my apartment look for some identification like the apartment key for instance go in the area but a receipt is better. Maybe the admin can create a tag to all occupies to present to the guard for easier identification. Easy on the guard and hassle free on the admin side. For further security measure, the admin shld think of it. It is abit of a hassle but that is what a security guard shld be doing n not just standing, greeting, saluting n thanking visitor. Do you pay ur security guard to do that?
Some things need to be changed, like old n rusty kettle . Broken shower heads, the drainage system in the toilet was clog n water does not flow well causing puddle in the shower. The sofa is a bit dusty n in need of a good vacuuming and airing in the sun. Maybe, hotel staff could take into account people who have difficulty going up the stairs n to give them option for apartment that need less going up n down. It can be quite a pain to go up n down the stairs.

I like that there's a free pick up shuttle bus to go and back the the Genting Highland (Genting skyway - cable car staytion). The room is spacious. The property of the resort is big and there are many buildings and many types of room there.
The room was so musty and moldy, weak people could be sick staying in that room. I used the inhaler to make me have a quite decent sleep, otherwise I wouldn't be able to fall asleep in that smelly room. It's so not convenient if your purpose of travel is to be in the Genting highland (go to casinos, theme parks, shopping), this is not the one. If you wanna go to those places, you have to take either a taxi or the shuttle bus to go to the Genting skyway (cable car station). The timetable of the free shuttle is limited and the price of the taxi is way too expensive. It's better to stay in the hotel up on the highland then.
